The Township of King (Owner), located in York Region on the northern edge of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), currently owns and operates two separate facilities – the King City Library and King City Seniors Centre – within the village of King City. As the Township has grown its current facilities no longer meet the needs of the community. As such the Township is looking to renovate and expand the current King City Library at 1970 King Road. As part of the project the expansion will also include the addition of a new space for the King City Seniors Centre. The project will be approximately 20,000 sq. ft. over two (2) floors and consist of administration offices, main library spaces, the seniors centre community space and associated service areas (washrooms, kitchen, etc.). |
