The Municipalities of the Township of King, Town of East Gwillimbury, Town of Newmarket, Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, Town of Aurora and the Town of Georgina comprise the six (6) northern municipalities of York Region. Collectively the Municipalities cover an area greater than 1,100 square kilometers and provide comprehensive services to a population of almost 300,000 residents. It is a requirement that from time to time Municipalities open their insurance program to competition. The six (6) Municipalities are jointly issuing a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for Insurance and Risk Management Services.
