The Scope of Work associated with this RFT involves the rehabilitation of the existing cast-in-place concrete rigid frame bridge. A full road closure will be permitted and will be outlined in the Special Provisions. The Work shall include approximately 115 m of associated roadworks and roadside safety improvements. The bridge is located on Leonard Road, approximately 500 m north of Highway 9, on the boundary of the Township of King and Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. The aspects of the work associated with this project include, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Installation, maintenance and removal of temporary erosion and sediment control works;  

• Installation of construction and traffic control signing for road closure; 

• Removal of existing asphalt over the bridge and on the approaches;

• Scarify Concrete Deck

• Partial depth class 1 and class 3 concrete removals over deck top;

• Full depth removal of existing concrete curb and barrier;

• Concrete patch repairs;

• Concrete overlay over deck top;

• Installation of new concrete curb and barrier system;

• Waterproofing and pave deck top and approaches; 

• Reconstruction of roadway including vertical alignment modifications; 

• Approach concrete curb and gutter and gutter outlets;

• Installation of steel beam guide rail and attenuators; and

• Site restoration.
